As someone who struggles with anxiety and depression I know all too well how my mood can affect how I feel about my body. .
These two pictures are exactly the same but what I see on a good day versus a bad day can be a world of difference. On a bad day, I’ll see all of my flaws, on a better day, it’s much easier to brush past them, or realize it is merely me being my own worst critic.
Now while it may be impossible to completely CHANGE your thoughts and how you feel about your body, it is possible to work on reframing them. Another thing to work on… how you REACT to them. In the past a bad day would lead to either restricting my food, emotional eating, or hours of extra workouts. Not anymore.
Trust that your mood is merely dictating how you are viewing yourself and it may not always be the most accurate picture. Bottom Line: Work on your inside and your mindset, and your outside will reflect it.
