The most important person to fall in love with is YOU. 💕
This is especially IMPORTANT if you are trying to grow, change, or improve.
I always used to believe that if I HATED myself and my body enough, I would build up the motivation to CHANGE it.
What usually happened instead was I would end up feeling worse about myself, discouraged, and uninspired. I was putting NEGATIVITY into my mindset, and positive changes happened few and far between.
But then I realized I needed to switch my approach. We need to show ourselves compassion, self-acceptance, and self LOVE in order to INSPIRE positive CHANGE.
When I started to practice this on the regular, the POSITIVE change happened with ease. I started to fuel my body to take care of myself, workout because I loved my body, and accept the things I just couldn’t change (hello short legs!).
Bottom line: Focus on the things you LOVE about yourself, be patient, and stop dwelling on the things you can’t change. There are plenty of people out there to criticize you. Be the one to show YOU some love 💛✨
🌝 Nighttime Routine 🌝
SLEEP. One of the most important keys to BEST health and one of the hardest things to tackle.
One thing I know all too well is a stressed, anxious mind, makes for a TERRIBLE night’s sleep. So I’m always willing to try ANYTHING to sleep better.
Nighttime rituals are so important to relax the mind and end the day on a peaceful note.
Here of some of my favorite tips for a restful night of sleep.
1. Magnesium at night (I take Calm Magnesium with Melatonin)
2. Write in a gratitude journal (3 things you’re grateful for)
3. Bedtime Yoga (try out these simple holds for 5-10 breaths for improved sleep)
Who’s going to try?! 💫
Do you struggle with overeating? Emotional eating? Can’t stick to your plan? What do you do when you’ve fallen off track? 🤔
I just went live in my client group because I get this question a lot!!!
I ate ALL the food
This weekend was a disaster
I fell off my plan
Should you cut calories?!
My answer: ABSOLUTELY NOT!
The more you try to overcompensate for it, the more likely it is to continue to happen again 🍭
So what to do?! Eat normally, make good choices, stick your plan, drink lots of water, MOVE, but don’t overdo it, and most importantly, listen to your body!
I used to HIDE. And not just in sweatshirts, but I let how I felt about my body affect how I felt about myself as a person. 👗
One of the most rewarding things to see my clients gain is the confidence of feeling better in their skin. 🙌
Change doesn’t always happen on the scale.
It doesn’t have to be reflected in a different clothing size.
Change isn’t always seen on the exterior.
But I do know this… Change happens when you decide you deserve it. 💕
