Barre Blend

Barre Blend is a low-impact, high-intensity, and high-energy workout program from barre expert, professional dancer, and Yoga Instructor Elise Joan.

Barre Blend helps create a lean, toned physique through a fun fusion of ballet barre, Pilates, and cardio interval training. It incorporates a variety of techniques rooted in dance, focused on high-reps of small-range movements, dynamic exercises, core stabilization and active stretches, all while keeping your heart rate up.

You’ll feel the burn as you sweat, stretch, and strengthen to energize your entire body. Get ready to feel graceful, strong, and gorgeous in just 60 days.

The Workouts

There are 8 weeks of workouts broken into 4 phases and 40 unique workouts. Workouts run from 30 to 40 minutes, and Elise changes up the moves and level of difficulty as you progress through the program.

While every workout is full-body, she gives special focus to one body part each day. These include:

The Nutrition

The nutrition plan uses simplified portion controlled nutrition to teach you exactly how much of what foods to eat.

It’s simple nutrition and totally customizable to your goals. You’ll also have the option of a mindful eating nutrition approach.

Shakeology

Acts like salad, tastes like cake! This superfood packed shake has the nutritional equivalent to 7 plates of salad in one glass. I drink it daily as one simple, easy meal I don’t have to think about. It’s helped me so much with my mega sweet tooth and conquering cravings.

The Performance Line

The Performance Line is designed to take your results to the next level. Energize our plant based pre workout provides a natural energy boost before your workout and recover, a whey based protein shake, will provide the proper post workout fuel to help you maximize results and recover effectively.

The Support

My favorite part of this journey is the support and accountability to keep you motivated throughout your program! We check in daily in our online private Facebook community and also have a private tracker app, separate from Facebook to log your workouts, measurements, progress and more!

Who is this For?

This is a low-impact, high-intensity, and high-energy workout program for anyone looking to build long, lean, toned muscles.

Since it requires no dance experience, Barre Blend is a great workout for new exercisers or people who are just getting back into fitness. Plus, there is a modifier you can follow.

And if you’re more advanced, you can choose heavier dumbbells, add Resistance Loops, and follow the intensifier, who makes the moves more challenging.

 What Equipment Do I Need?

No Ballet Barre Required! You can use any sturdy household object at the right height (such as a chair, sofa, countertop).

You will need 1-5 lb. weights to complete the workouts.

Resistance Loops and Barre Socks are optional.

They too would much rather eat peanut butter cups than broccoli too. ⁣⁣

But they have the DISCIPLINE to choose to stay on track. ⁣⁣
They have the DRIVE to keep going even when they don’t feel like it. ⁣⁣

Tired. ⁣⁣
Uninspired. ⁣⁣

Just. Show. Up. ⁣⁣

Know what’s funny… after sharing last week that ‘hi I’m human’ and had fallen off a bit, I got so many messages from people who I hadn’t heard from in a bit to admit that they too had fallen off and needed to get back into things…⁣

It can be so easy to look at a picture on social media and not see the whole story. ⁣

You see one carefully selected snapshot from one day. ⁣
A perfectly curated photo album. ⁣

You don’t see the 20 other deleted pictures. ⁣
You don’t know how their day went. ⁣
You don’t hear how they feel about the image in front of that mirror. ⁣

I want to assure you that even if it appears like some people have it all together they most likely don’t. ⁣

Please don’t ever be afraid to ask for help. ⁣
Please don’t ever be afraid to reach out. ⁣
And please don’t ever feel alone on your journey. ⁣

It is normal to struggle. ⁣
It is normal to fall off track. ⁣
We are all human and we are all doing the best we can. ⁣
In this together. 💛

Day ONE

Day one all over again. ☝️⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Today I was all ready to share with you how I started to feel myself sliding back on my journey and was ready to recommit. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Then I realized just how much I’ve screwed up… ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I did that a month ago. ⁣⁣🤦‍♀️
And guess what? ⁣⁣
I didn’t quite follow through. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I started to beat myself up big time. I started to focus on all the things I haven’t been doing. ⁣⁣
My nutrition hasn’t been perfect. ⁣⁣
I haven’t been documenting my journey like I usually do (AKA progress pictures, measurements, etc..) ⁣⁣
My mindset has been slipping (hello seasonal depression & anxiety). ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But then I realized something. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I was doing EXACTLY what I tell my clients not to do. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I was choosing to ignore the fact that despite all of this I’ve been continuing to show up. ⁣⁣
I’ve been continuing to eat well 80-90% of the time. ⁣⁣
I’ve been continuing to exercise daily and push myself. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And here I was focusing on the negative and stressing over things I can no longer change. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
So here’s your reminder as I commit to my day one all over again too. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You always have a choice. ⁣⁣
Celebrate what you’re doing well. ⁣⁣
Acknowledge the not so great behaviors creeping in. ⁣⁣
And choose to control what you can moving forward. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
One day at a time. One meal at a time. One workout at a time. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Forever a work in progress on my journey too. In this with you. ⁣👯‍♀️

Self Love

Did you ever realize how much your body loves you?

It’s always trying to keep you alive.
That’s all your body has to live for.

Your body is making sure you breathe while you sleep, stopping cuts from bleeding, fixing broken bones, finding ways to beat the illnesses that might get to you.

Your body literally loves you so much.
It’s time you start loving your body back.

Forever a work in progress in learning to love my body, find gratitude for everything it does, and embrace it exactly how it is right now… not 5lbs from now.

And that’s okay.

Stop beating yourself up for having the thoughts, let them come, let them go, and then find gratitude for something your body does for you. Every single day. 💛
