Full transparency. I regret a lot of things Iâve done in the past to my body.
.
I starved myself on less than 1000 calories a day.
I did hours of cardio with the hopes of âburning awayâ my body fat.
I celebrated my size 00s.Â
I fueled my body with low calorie âchemical shitstormsâ for years.
.
Little did I know I was forever damaging my metabolism.
I was training my body to hold on to any fuel I gave it.
I was destroying my gut, my health, and would develop Celiac Disease shortly after.
I would develop panic attacks and anxiety that I would forever battle.
.
But I would learn. I would share. I would heal. And I would THRIVE.
.
Dear body: Iâm sorry. Iâm sorry for blaming you. Abusing you. Starving you.
But thank you for standing by me. For staying strong. And for teaching me some of the greatest lessons I now have the power to share.
.
Be so very thankful for your struggles. They may turn out to be your biggest strengths. đ

Self Love and Weight Loss?
I used to feel self conscious to talk about self love and weight loss at the same time.
.
How could I help people lose weight and get healthy, while telling them to learn to love their bodies at the same time?
Was me posting a before and after doing more harm than good?
.
Then I realized something.
.
It is 100% okay to learn to love your body where youâre at, while working to change it.
.
There is NOTHING wrong with wanting to feel healthier.
With wanting to MOVE more.
With wanting to weigh less to improve how you feel on a daily basis.
With weight loss can come more energy, better sleep, a happier mood, and improved confidence.
.
But if youâre waiting on your weight loss to feel better in your skin youâre doing it wrongâŚ
.
Working towards a healthier you WHILE embracing where you are at on your journey.
.
That is the key.
.
Know that it is 110% possible to change your life, health, and body BUT if you donât work on you mindset now, you will forever feel the same 10, 20, even 30 lbs from now.
.
Find BALANCE. Find HEALTH. Always here to help.
â¨Transformation Tuesday Reminder â¨
.
I talk to my ladies all the time about how challenging it can be to see others losing more weight or inches than them.Â
.
Truth is it is so important to remember we all start from different places.
We all have different bodies.
We all have different lives.
We all change differently.
.
And there can be sooooo much more happening than just the physical changes you are able to see.
Your mindset may be healthier.
You may be faster, stronger, or breathing better.
You may feel happier.
Your clothes may be fitting better.
Your skin may be clearer.
Your energy may be better.
.
Remember that your progress is your progress.
Focus on becoming a better version of you.
Just because someone is stronger, faster, or thinner doesnât mean your effort isnât as valid.
.
Work on your own goals for yourself. Progress will come. â¨
EVOLVE
It took me 7 years to finally lose the weight.
It took me 3 years of unhealthy extremes to shrink down to a size 00.
.
It took me 3 years to gain ALL of the weight BACK.Â
.
It took me 4 more years of battling my body; crash diets, intuitive eating, counting macros, low carb, cleanses, detoxes, and more to stay exactly. the. same. weight.
.
Then for 4 years I learned BALANCE.
I found strength.
I ate kale AND cookies.
I hated my body, wished it were different, all while trying to embrace it, but never stopped trying.
.
And I found peace (most days đ )
It took me 31 years to learn to feel comfortable in my skin.
Reality is you will forever be a work in progress on your journey.
.
Never stop growing.
Never stop improving.
Never stop EVOLVING.
Just keep swimming.
Your body was NEVER the problem.
Your thighs are fat.
You need to lose weight.
Youâre so bloated.
Your skin looks terrible.
Why donât you look like her?
Why do you eat so much?
Why canât you just change?
.
What if you had to repeat everything you say to yourself back to your best friend…
To your sister…
To your mom…
To your daughterâŚ
.
Would you be so harsh? Would you judge as much? Would you see the things you see or find the beauty that you have worked so hard to belittle?
.
One of the number one tricks I used to shift the not-so-kind thoughts repeating in my head daily, was to flip it onto someone else. Would I still be saying these things? Thinking these thoughts?
Be a little kinder to yourself.
.
Start seeing the beauty you see in others in yourself.
.
Your body was never the problem. Itâs the way you think about it and see it.
.
Time to change it. đ
