Whenever I’m thinking about my meal I focus on mostly veggies, 1/4 protein, 1/4 carbs. Super simple and keeps my meals balanced and me on track 🍓
This cauliflower rice, green beans, eggs, and sweet potato 🍳
The most important person to fall in love with is YOU. 💕
This is especially IMPORTANT if you are trying to grow, change, or improve.
I always used to believe that if I HATED myself and my body enough, I would build up the motivation to CHANGE it.
What usually happened instead was I would end up feeling worse about myself, discouraged, and uninspired. I was putting NEGATIVITY into my mindset, and positive changes happened few and far between.
But then I realized I needed to switch my approach. We need to show ourselves compassion, self-acceptance, and self LOVE in order to INSPIRE positive CHANGE.
When I started to practice this on the regular, the POSITIVE change happened with ease. I started to fuel my body to take care of myself, workout because I loved my body, and accept the things I just couldn’t change (hello short legs!).
Bottom line: Focus on the things you LOVE about yourself, be patient, and stop dwelling on the things you can’t change. There are plenty of people out there to criticize you. Be the one to show YOU some love 💛✨
Do you struggle with overeating? Emotional eating? Can’t stick to your plan? What do you do when you’ve fallen off track? 🤔
I just went live in my client group because I get this question a lot!!!
I ate ALL the food
This weekend was a disaster
I fell off my plan
Should you cut calories?!
My answer: ABSOLUTELY NOT!
The more you try to overcompensate for it, the more likely it is to continue to happen again 🍭
So what to do?! Eat normally, make good choices, stick your plan, drink lots of water, MOVE, but don’t overdo it, and most importantly, listen to your body!
To all the women out there hating their legs….please stop.
Your legs carry you through life.
They allow you to run, jump, even just walk.
I always used to HATE my legs. Too muscular. No thigh gap. Just heavy. Since then I’ve grown to see them differently.
They are my strength.
They are my movement.
They are there when I fall (and I do A LOT)
Never be ashamed of your strength, your imperfections. It’s OK to show up to the world in a very BIG way. Stop playing small, pretty, and perfect. 💕
Full Disclosure. I LOVE to workout. I crave that post workout high. Love nothing more than being in an empty gym, and genuinely look forward to my workouts every day.
Having that love of fitness has been AMAZING but that doesn’t mean I don’t have my fair share of struggles too. 💕
I HATE vegetables.
I STRUGGLE with emotional eating. 🍿
I get HUNGRY often.
I would rather SNACK than eat whole full meals.
I have the world’s biggest SWEET tooth. 🍫
Nutrition has always been a struggle point for me, and is something I will forever be a work in progress on.
So how do I tackle it?! I recognize that nobody is perfect and focus on the fact that what I do consistently over time, will always outweigh what I do or don’t do in one day. So I balance it.
I stick to my consistent daily workouts that I love.
I try to make the BEST nutrition choices I can each day. 🍓
I set myself up for success by planning and prepping my meals. 🍴
And I also cut myself some slack and don’t beat myself up when I have an off day, eat a cookie, or find myself munching out of stress. I just do the BEST I possibly can. 🍪
Remember: What you do consistently over time > what you do or don’t do one day.
Which do you struggle with more FITNESS or NUTRITION?
